Our Breeding Stock

Our breeding stock is in excellent health and their temperaments are better than most of my friends.  They are extremely intelligent and with their huge eyes and long curly ears they seem to have ESP (extra special pet quality) when it comes to manipulating their masters.  For example: You say “come.”  They do it but once in awhile like a child, they bat those big eyes to see if you really mean it.  That’s where the master looses it and if you’re not careful your heart melts and you “let” them slide.  The problem is always with the owner.  They have an amazing ability to melt your heart and get away with dog victory.  You absolutely must be kind and consistent in all training.  It’s a bit like deja-vu.  (Remember your children).

King Loui is the new man on the block.  Next to him is Chantae.  She and Zuri are sisters.  The two tri girls are new also.  Their coats are so beautiful.  They are new so I can't give you detail except they are tiny and want a lot of love.  Loui is a sassy, spoiled rotten boy.  He has been babied since he was born.  He is Rainey's.

I am going to the smaller size or trying to.  All the present breeding companions are smaller and all are in the house.

How all these precious companions are raised makes all the difference in the world.

We have had such fun with all the new families and their stories that I couldn’t wait to tell everyone.

We are retiring Charaes Prince Rainier.  He was named so because I like Prince Rainier of Monaco.  His country is strong.  His countrymen love him.  He has honor, dedication, admiration and married an American.  I just love the name so “Prince Rainier” has become our new sire and he is commonly called “Rainey.”

He is a gorgeous tri-color and his personality is so sweet I sometimes can’t believe it.  He never growls and is very passive.  He loves to lay on his back and just be held in your arms.  Everyone from the day he arrived spoiled him.  He is a true lover-boy.  Just for a little icing on the cake…..his father finished AKC Best of Breed.  Rainey has always received a lot of attention.  He was an only child when he was born.  He looked like he sat in a bucket of black paint.  You can see his picture.  He is the finest in my opinion.  PERIOD!

It has been long over-due for an update. A little more about Rainey. He has not changed one bit with personality since a puppy. He is non-aggressive and very loving even with a little age on him now.

His coat is outstanding. He’s a great dad. He goes in (when allowed) by the girls and licks the puppies faces and plays with them gently. It’s as if he knows they are babies and he is ever so gentle even when I know he doesn’t want to be.

He puts his head in your lap and he does try to Bogart the girls out for all the attention and love. He’s not mean about it, just assertive. HE WANTS ALL THE LOVE.

He loves kids and anyone for that matter. I have never seen Rainey not go up and introduce himself. People who don’t like dogs like Rainey.

He’s a great Sire. We love him!

Blossom and Zoey are sisters. Their mother is Amber and their father was Pierre. We only get to keep a puppy when we retire a Sire. That’s about every 51/2 years. We couldn’t make up our minds about Blossom and Zoey, so we kept them both.

Blossom is slightly smaller than Zoey and other than that it is almost impossible to tell them apart. When they were small Zoey chewed Blossom’s ears and so it took awhile for them to grow back.

Blossom is truly a lover. She is calm and just wants to be next to you constantly. She and Zoey are quite alike in personality and temperament. They love everyone and want to do everything with you and for you. Both chase and play a lot and yet they are calm dogs.

Their color is so fantastic!  Pierre’s last litter was a total tribute to Cavaliers.  These puppies were all outstanding.  It was as if he knew it was his last hooray.

Both girls look quite a bit alike.  They have a lot of the ruby color and no ticking.  We were only going to keep one and just had to keep two.  It’s the only time we get to keep puppies you know.  We retire our male and that is the only time we can get one of our own dogs.  We don’t in-line breed and I believe accidents do happen so we make sure we don’t have any.  We keep one male and he is unrelated.

Blossom and Zoey are so very smart.  Potty training was a breeze.  That is only true because it was done with a mission in mind.  Get it done as fast as possible.  We really stayed on it.  Now it’s nice but it was a constant “job.”  They are both very entertaining and very loving.

A little about Zoey. She and Blossom are sisters and Amber is their mother and Pierre was their father. We only get to keep our own puppies when we retire the Sire.

Amber is so beautiful and full of rich ruby that her puppies are just beautiful. We couldn’t make our minds up between the two so we kept them both.

Zoey’s personality is sweet and she is very smart. She is friendly with everyone and loves to travel. She is only 15 pounds but she thinks she runs the show.

She will play with anyone outside and retrieves wonderfully. Her disposition is so sweet and she tries to get everything her way with her beautiful “desperate” eyes.

She is very obedient and loves to please. She will come when called every time, but you can see that she really doesn’t want to. I am glad she has not tested the “come, good girl” command? Request???

We have a lot of fun with her. She is very loving.

Amber is the smartest at Deserae’s house.  She is a boy’s dog.  She loves everyone but gravitates to Trevor and Stan.  Probably because she sleeps with Trevor.  She also loves cookies and she is the most talkative dog we have.  She actually talks to the TV.  Especially during Animal Planet

She loves to roll over for tummy rubs.  She has incredible ears.  Very long and regal.

Amber is just outstanding! Her color is as rich as it can be. So her name came accordingly. All we could think of was the color of Amber with its deep ruby and so that’s what we called her.

Amber is a one of a kind. She watches television and talks to it. I mean through the whole program. (Animal Planet) It’s as if she has a language of her own. I really can’t explain it. It is not annoying, just adorable. The influx of her sounds must mean something.

She is extremely smart! She has been a test when she was younger. She would wait for you to sit down and then try her mischief. She would actually come back and make sure that you are still sitting so she wouldn’t get caught.

She notices everything and everyone. She loves to be held and touched. She’s our PHD. Absolutely too smart.

She’s a wonderful mother and her disposition is sweet and kind. Her entire mission is to please you (unless she thinks you’re not looking). Ha Ha.

What a wonderful companion.

The Unthinkable Molly Brown

We have a new addition and a picture will follow. When we get it I will just have it put up.

She is a Black and Tan. The reason we named her The Unthinkable Molly Brown is because we never “thought we would get another dog at this time. We just fell in love with her.

She is the sweetest little girl. I guess she gets so much attention from everyone because number one, she is the baby and then she is a different color entirely for us.

She is very smart. She runs with the big dogs as if she has been here forever. She gets into the flower beds and chases leaves and unfortunately bees. I think she learned her lesson on that one. She got stung and her whole face swelled up. We rushed her to the Doctor and he took great care of her and she was fine that day.

She has captured everyone’s heart. Down the road we should get all colors. Her mom was Ruby and dad was a Black and Tan.

Her nose is shorter and she has that perfect Cavalier look. As she progresses I will update her talents.

I hope this gives you a little update.

Here’s a picture of Pierre. Pierre is a gorgeous blenheim. Very rich in the chestnut, auburn or ruby color.  His temperament is outstanding. He is just a lover-boy. He has always been permitted around the puppies and participates in everything with the puppies. Pierre is 16-18 pounds.  His weight depends on if we have puppies.  He eats more when Frenchie or the puppies eat. I suppose he feels he might “miss” something and therefore he goes into serious competition with the dining experience. Pierre will lick your eyes and ears if allowed to show his affection. Definitely loves the lap.
Here’s a picture of Frenchie, She’s barely 10 pounds. I think 8 pounds of it is her ears. She’s my French Princess and has a degree at Penn State with etiquette, unlike Pierre. (State Penn) She’s adorable and very smart. Her chair is anywhere my lap is. She will not lick your face even if you put it so close to her you can feel her breath.  She also ask permission to jump on your lap. She is a very good mother and very patient. I could have used some of that a few years ago.

Here’s a picture of Magnificent Minnie and Dazzling Daisy.  The Queen’s thumbprint is distinct on Daisy.  Are they good with children?  Guess how we came up with Minnie and Daisy?  Grandchildren!  Cavaliers are the best dog I have ever had with children undisputed.  Minnie and Daisy grew up together in Grand Junction, Colorado.  Minnie and Daisy are retired and with family.  My daughter Deserae manages the western slope of Colorado.  We combined our names to create the kennel name.  The area is called the Redlands and they enjoy the grandeur of the Mesa.  They enjoy their daily walks and ooh’s and aww’s from everyone that meets them.  They actually nuzzle their heads into your chest just like a child.  I think they picked it up from the children.  These two precious pets have the loveliest  personalities and temperament one could ask for.  Their coats are beautiful and they are plumed close to perfect.  They live with two children and a cat.  Minnie is a tri and Daisy is a blenheim. The last picture is Sophie, Calais and Jasmine.
Chelsea is our smallest girl.  She was picked very early and she was meant to be.  She's part racoon.  She takes many treasures and hides them under the porch.  This includes cell phones.  She has brought back memories and definately refreshed me on what all your go through.  She is bright, loving, beautiful and is very easy to teach commands.  Everything except leave my glasses alone.  She will have beautiful puppies one day.

Hope you enjoyed the overview.
